ForeClosures

Foreclosures are an untouched market in Costa Rica, although many occur every day.

The RE/MAX Connection team in Jaco Beach successfully formed a administration system to collect and organize all foreclosure notices throughout the country.

RE/MAX will now be releasing a updated foreclosure list with all the key information needed for buyers to take advantage of this unique opportunity. This information will include: the auction date, price, and a description of the properties set to foreclosure in the next 30 to 90 days.

When a client selects properties that he or she finds interesting our office/agent obtains the planno catastro and further information on the foreclosure. From that point on the agent assists the buyer on determining if it is a good purchase, where the property is located, and can participate fully on the buyers behalf or assist the buyer at an auction as well as taking the buyer through the legal due diligence.

It takes a committed buyer and a committed agent to make purchases through foreclosure auctions in Costa Rica.

Obtaining foreclosure information and going through the foreclosure process takes perseverance, the process can test patients, and the banks can be very bureaucratic that is why it is so important to work with locals like Piper Renner who have the experience needed.

Piper Renner is a committed realtor in taking her buyers through the foreclosure process to obtaining the property. She believes some of the best deals through out the country can be found through foreclosures and has purchased properties personally through foreclosures, knows the process and commitment it takes, but also knows the amazing deals which can be had.

About Foreclosure Costs

A buyer can now select properties he or she finds interesting and request further information for a fee of $20 per property.

RE/MAX will then begin a more in-depth search in the Costa Rican national registry, which will help to determining if it is a secure purchase. The search will provide information such as: the property location, market value, and lender information. Once the buyer is ready to move forward, RE/MAX will facilitate the legal due diligence process and can participate fully on the client´s behalf and/or assist the client at an auction for additional cost above auction value.
